Minor Forms joins Context Audio with ‘Specialist’ EP

Context Audio are very proud to welcome Minor Forms on board for a stunning debut release on the label. Comprising of four tracks that draw together a slick range of styles spanning liquid, techstep and jungle and contain collaborations with Collette Warren and Composite. The ‘Specialist’ EP is a veritable tour de force that hits a lot of bases and absolutely nails every single one.

Justin Mann aka Minor Forms is a London based artist and he is one of the scene’s newest rising stars. He cut his teeth as one-third of Drum & Bass “boyband” Arcatype before striking out on his own. With years of production experience between the three of them and after a few collaborative sessions, Arcatype soon realised they had a knack for working well together in the studio. They continued to meet up in order to build their signature sound. They have released on labels such as Symmetry, Vandal Records, CIA and Ingredients Records.

The style of his music will be familiar to some listeners. However, Minor Forms is hoping to inject some fresh and exciting ideas into the Drum & Bass scene. Drawing from a wide sphere of influences within Jungle/Drum & Bass and further afield from ambient/drone, techno, jazz and beyond, Minor Forms is looking to quickly cement himself as a new name in the scene.

Despite his relatively short time in the scene, he’s amassed chart-topping releases on the likes of CIA Records and Vandal Records, showcasing his precise yet crunchy signature style.

He’s only just getting started too with a string of releases lined up to take him through 2021 and beyond and a whole load of exciting projects that’ll see him catapulted to the front of the scene in no time.
