Newcomer Shadows drops ‘Cracks’ EP on Context Audio

Context Audio are very excited to welcome newcomer Shadows to the fold. As one of the most exciting things to come out of Bristol recently, they are very excited to welcome him on board and even more excited to unveil his ‘Cracks’ EP. It consists of four tunes that are the very essence of soulful, stripped back and emotive Drum & Bass.

From the dulcet tones of ‘Continuum’ to the motive force of ‘Cracks’ and ‘The Plug’, right down to the thing of beauty that is ‘Satechi’, Shadows hits a lot of notes with style and poise.

There’s something to suit every palate here and this is a superb release from a rising star with a great future ahead of him.

Over the past couple of years, Shadows name has been cropping up more and more among the cutting edge of Drum & Bass artists coming out of Bristol.

First coming onto the scene as Splinter, ever since he has gifted us with a reliable stream of expertly crafted music that flits between styles with the ease of a young Alix Perez, but make no mistake, he breathes his own brand of soul into his music.

With chart-topping releases on 16 Step Records, Sine Audio and Incurzion Audio as well as forthcoming work with Bristol’s Alternate, we’ve caught him at a critical moment before his inevitable discovery by the games biggest players.
