Context Audio drops ‘Per Ardua IV’

Share

It’s been a while since the last Context Audio release but they are very excited to present the next instalment in their ‘Per Ardua’ series, kindly provided by King Moot with ‘Per Ardua IV’.

Hailing from the West Country, King Moot is the solo project of one Rob Graff. A producer, audiophile and all-around hidden gem. Rob’s output focuses very much on the thoughtful, cinematic aspect of electronica and draws inspiration from the likes of Synkro, Joy Orbison, Scuba, Dbridge and Bonobo. Context Audio originally featured one of his tracks on their ‘Per Ardua II‘ compilation LP and they were so impressed with his output, that they had to get him back for a solo outing.

Rob also runs the Moot Point label, which is home to a variety of his projects; not only the early King Moot material, but his recently revived house music project (under his own name), and the pop project Gin & French.

Rob is also the creator of The Sessions Podcast, a regular mix series which has been in operation since 2008, and is unique in the way it covers the vast history of Drum & Bass, alongside many other genres of music.

This release is all things weird and wonderful, encompassing a range of BPMs, all grounded with an impeccable ornamental production style. As with all these ‘Per Ardua’ releases, they aim to give you, the listener, a journey through the deeper side and they tell us “We sincerely hope you enjoy this as much as we have!”

Today we premiere ‘The Pleasure Protocol’ which you can check out below. Context Audio have already dropped King Moot’s ‘Per Ardua IV’ exclusively on Bandcamp and it will be available everywhere else on Friday 13th May. Make sure you grab yourself a copy from here!
