Hajimari joins Context Audio with ‘Obsessions’ EP

For the undeniable milestone that is Context Audio’s 25th release, they welcome the USA’s Hajimari to the fold with a stunning EP entitled ‘Obsession’.

Hailing from Naptown, better known as Indianaoplis, the state capital of Indiana in the US of A, Hajimari is one of the best kept secrets in American D&B. With a strong, mature production style that centers around liquid but flawlessly covers darker soundscapes, and with the occasional foray into 140, Haji is at the forefront of a new wave of American producer.

To date Hajimari’s had a modest, yet strong set of releases, first coming to prominence with the sick ‘Faithful’ EP, featuring a mindblowing Zero T remix, on Santoku Records and then with a string of features on Lifestyle and Delta9 VA LPs, interspersed with some exceptional free downloads. This path has led him to the door of several notable imprints on this side of the pond with his most recent ‘Obsession’ EP on Context Audio turning heads and releases slated for the likes of Terra Firma and Music Squad. All in all, the future looks bright for this rising star.

The team over at Context Audio all grew up on a diet of rolling liquid that comes with a subtle yet strong organic sound, and they are exstatic to be able to release four tracks of exactly that.

So here it is, three grass-fed, American-born liquid stunners alongside a top-tier remix from the UK’s McLeod, just to add to the vibes.

I think we can all agree that it hasn’t been the best start to the year but here’s hoping these tunes go some small way to changing that.
