Their imprint and club night OTK pushes the boundaries to bring otherwise lesser-known names to the forefront of peoples attention. Offering limelight to those “On The KUSP” of something special. Previous guests include Freddy K, SNTS, Anetha and Cleric with many more to follow in future.

After a massive release on the legendary R&S Records. UK duo KUSP are back on ODD Recordings with their hard hitting ‘Orbit’ EP, which we premiered yesterday.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
Groovy, Hypnotic, Banging, Energetic, Techno music we both love loads!

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Got to be “Åme – Rej”. We heard Ben Klock close his set with this @ Photon, ADE last year, it’s one of those classic tracks to really end things on a high.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
A track of ours called “Orbit 2cb”. Its been a bit of a DJ tool/dance floor weapon for us the last year or so never fails to build tension on the dance floor. It’s basically a never-ending riser using an audio illusion called a shepherd tone, inspired by Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack for the movie Dunkirk.

Tell us about your next EP?
Our next EP is coming out on Arjun Vagale and Ramiro Lopez imprint, Odd Recordings. 4 club cuts including some peak-time acid madness and a bit of a dj tool that should get a few heads spinning!

What have you got coming up?
Releases on Odd Recordings, Suara and Planet Rhythm. A release on Korpus 9 which includes another collab with good friend Theo Nasa, and a remix for the talented Risa Taniguchi on Redrum Music.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Looking forward to being reunited on the dance floor and seeing people enjoying themselves again, all in good time of course!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
