Drum & Bass Talent Represented At Inaugural Aux Awards
Aux Music, the new artist back up, sync and collaboration app, has announced its inaugural Aux Awards will take place on 30th March as a livestreamed event.
After launching the Beta form of Aux app last year (www.aux.app), the tech company startup is giving back by celebrating some of the brightest names and brands waking waves in recent years.
Across 11 categories (artist and industry), the nominations have been selected by the visionary team at Aux – led by founder, tech entrepreneur Ben Bowler – together with an partners from Music Ally, HotVox, The Independent Music Insider and Access All Areas.
There’s a real mix of genres represented in the shortlist, but we were thrilled to see the Drum & Bass scene so well represented.
Best Independent Artist nominees include the bass heavy sounds of Wingz, the vocal stylings of Ruth Royall whose had multiple features with Mollie Collins, and Satl whose ‘Bedroom Producer With A Dream’ album saw him secure top liquid legends DRS, T.R.A.C, and Tokyo Prose as collaborators.
Other acts up for gongs are Airstrike (Best Single – Lion Up), Stay-C (Best Single – Russian Doll, Hospital Records), and Gentlemens Club (Best Independent Music Video – 1999).
On the Aux Awards, Ben Bowler commented,
“Our awards are a chance to recognise the artists and companies creating new sounds, building new business models and connecting us through music. I am personally excited that we have such high profile nomination partners, given that this is our first iteration of the event who all bring decades of expertise in their fields to their respective categories.”
Voting for the Aux Awards is open until 11th March 2022. Check out the full list of nominees and get voting at https://aux.app/awards.
