Weapons of Choice drop their ‘Remixes’ EP
Share
Weapons of Choice Recordings are back again with a new remix EP aptly entitle ‘Remixes’ EP. It features talents like Command Strange, Molecular, Quadrant & Iris and new comer Lankzi.
Each producer brings a new flavour to back catalogue bangers from the label like Conrad Subs ‘Back n Forth’, FX909 ‘Malicious’, Gunston ‘Stay Real’ and Confusious ‘Ground Zero’.
With 4 selected cuts that will undoubtedly please crowds, DJs and listeners alike, it was tough to choose one from the ‘Remixes’ EP for premiere but I decided on Quadrant & Iris’ remix of Gunston ‘Stay Real’.
Drum & bass producer Gunston has been there from the beginning, using his local scene in the 90s to draw inspiration for his own sonic work, something which he’s spent two decades refining. Drawing from the typical sounds of the genre, as well as those from the bass, abstract and ambient subsections, his full spectrum look at dance music has shone through all his work.
When you look up “Drum and Bass producer/DJ power couple from Seattle” in the dictionary, they’re literally the only example, but their picture is also next to the definition.
Together they have toured (some parts of) the world, released loads of mixes, completed a debut LP with their good friend Kid Hops entitled ‘206’, and released EPs and collabs with some of their favourite people in the entire world like Klute, Total Science, DLR, Ulterior Motive, and Ant TC1.
