Quadrant & Iris drop ‘Libation’ EP on Guidance

The infamous Quadrant & Iris step up to the plate on Guidance Music with their next instalment of weighty West Coast funk.

With both a rollout on Guidance and a substantial back catalogue of superbly crafted music already under their belts, Guidance are pleased to welcome Seattle-based QuadrantIris back to the label for their brand new ‘Libation’ EP. This body of work once again shows the expertise and panache that they always bring to the fore.

When you look up “Drum and Bass producer/DJ power couple from Seattle” in the dictionary, they’re literally the only example, but their picture is also next to the definition.

Together they have toured (some parts of) the world, released loads of mixes, completed a debut LP with their good friend Kid Hops entitled ‘206’, and released EPs and collabs with some of their favourite people in the entire world like Klute, Total Science, DLR, Ulterior Motive, and Ant TC1.

The ‘Libation’ EP sees Quadrant & Iris showcase perhaps a deeper side to their work than they might immediately be known for. But this depth and musicality are bought tightly together with the technical know-how and bassline wizardry they are always renowned for. Their ‘Libation’ EP consists of four quality cuts that both hit hard yet also take proceedings towards the unknown.

‘Cold Brew’ and ‘Aperol’ are the obvious bangers of the bunch, but both still house a hidden and unexpected sting in the tail. ‘Aeropress’ and ‘Fernet’ bring the depth but in two totally contrasting styles, making this an EP full of surprises and twists and turns.

Today, we premiere ‘Fernet’ which is sublime! You can check it out below. Quadrant & Iris’ ‘Libation’ EP drops tomorrow (26th February, make sure you grab it from here
