Gunston drops his ‘Cold Bluntz’ EP

Drum & bass producer Gunston has been there from the beginning, using his local scene in the 90s to draw inspiration for his own sonic work, something which he’s spent two decades refining. Drawing from the typical sounds of the genre, as well as those from the bass, abstract and ambient subsections, his full spectrum look at dance music has shone through all his work, especially with his forthcoming EP on Weapons Of Choice.

Gunston pulls out four brand new tracks, each of which showcases the styles he’s developed since be he was first introduced to drum & bass in the late nineties. From that moment he was hooked, something which has enabled him to release on labels such as Urban Poetry, In da Jungle and IM:Ltd, with each giving him a platform to pedestal his music for the world to hear. The French producer has taken his art across the Atlantic, as well as Europe, which is how he’s built such a widespread fan base and why he was asked to deliver this next EP for Weapons of Choice.
The title-track and our premiere today, ‘Cold Bluntz’ begins the EP and it’s ice-cold, rolling through with a guttural bassline which strikes across its core whilst being peddled by growling subs and drum rhythms which keep the record moving throughout.
Gunston’s ‘Cold Bluntz’ EP lands on Weapons of Choice Recordings on 13th January, check out our premiere below and grab the EP from here
