Heymac remixes Kintsuku’s ‘In The Mud’

Kintsuku’s energising new single, marked by her distinctively unique vocals and intricate layering of sounds, has been released alongside a
full-length self-produced music video, showcasing her highly expressive performance and immersing viewers in a gritty, ethereal world.
Kintsuku began creating ‘In The Mud’ live on her Twitch channel where she engaged her audience in the creative process. The lyrics explore
themes of identity and self worth and are inspired by reflections on a past relationship and a newfound revelation of being autistic. She leans
into her heavier roots and affinity for guitar-driven music to deliver a fiery, high-octane track that melds with catchy hyper-pop melodies.

Additionally, the three-track remix EP, due for release 28th July 2023, features reimaginings by artists Bruises, Heymac, and Ben Rolo, each
delivering a refreshingly unique spin on the original and venturing into their own sonic planes. 

Heymac’s remix of ‘Stuck in the Mud’ features the beautiful atmospheric sounds and driving drums he’s known for from previous releases on Data Transmission like ‘Hamartia‘ and ‘Katina‘ and picking up the tempo of the original into the world of Liquid Drum & Bass. This new approach to the song along with the thoughtful lyrics present the song in a new light that listeners can appreciate.

Heymac is a Canadian Drum & Bass artist whose songs have been featured on labels such as ProgRAM, Headsbass, 170+ Recordings and Bay 6 Recordings. In 2022, he braved the cold to do a one-of-a-kind DJ set on a dog sled with the Rocky Mountains as his backdrop which firmly presented his approach to atmosphere and art within Drum & Bass. As a DJ, Heymac has been able to support artists such as René LaVice, Bensley, Spectrasoul and Pola & Bryson.
