Benny V & Subcriminal collab on ‘Kraken & Koke’ EP

Tentacles rise from unknown depths to pull you into a watery rave. Benny V joins with newcomer Subcriminal for an eclectic EP entitled ‘Kraken & Koke’, which fuses deadly deep subs with 80’s synths. The EP is coming out via Dance Concept and is their 42nd release since the imprint launched over 20 years ago!

Opening up the EP is the title track ‘Kraken & Koke’ which will float your boat on a layer of pads before a melody driven bass line threatens to sink it.

Batten down the hatches for ‘Inexsis’, an eerie intro looms large like shadow over the horizon before again a melodic bassline riff takes you on an incredible journey.

Next up, should you dare to open ‘Neptunes Chest’ a treasure awaits, a perfect blend of music, a gift from the gods!

Closing the ‘Kraken & Koke’ EP we find the aptly titled ‘The Ending’ which nods at 80’s nostalgia, but has enough energy to give you serious motion sickness!

Dance Concept has been running since 1999 putting on events all over the UK as well as being a Premier Drum & Bass label with releases from some of the worlds biggest artists.

With a career starting off in Television and moving into Music, Presenting and DJing from the biggest Drum & Bass Festivals to exclusive West End Venues to the largest Commercial Club in London, Benny V has definitely earned his stripes over the years! He’s had a tonne of releases throughout his career and while he runs Dance Concept he also runs Souped Up Records alongside Serum. He is one busy man!

While he may be a relative newcomer Subcriminal has had release on some great labels so far, including Serial Killaz, Liondub international, Chopstick Dubplate, Nuusic, Random Concept Origins, Run Tingz Recordings, Gyro Records, Deep in the Jungle, Audio Addict and Ghetto Dub. His music has received support from the likes of Aries, Ed Solo, DJ Marky, Noisia, Dillinja, Aphrodite, Nicky Blackmarket, Ray Keith, Phibes, Visionary, Logan D, Kenny Ken, Mollie Collins, Saxxon, Doc Scott and Kelvin 373! Subcriminal is definitely a name you need to get to know!
