&ME releases ‘1995’ & ‘Starting Again’ feat. Atelier

&ME kickstarts the time machine with infectious banger “1995” via Keinemusik.

&ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. His way to become one of today’s most praised and sought after DJ/producers are based on a solid foundation. A foundation comprised of solo-releases, remixes, projects and collaborations that numerous, we’d rather refer to his discography than weary you with namedropping.

‘1995’ was the year Microsoft released Windows, Miguel Induráin won the Tour de France for the fifth time in a row and Robbie Williams quit Take That. It also saw the rise of Two-Step and Garage in the UK underground and you can beam yourself right back with “1995,” filling that gap left in the absence of a straight kick, with dense sub-bass layers and phantasmal Ambient soundscapes.

“Starting Again feat. Atelier” finds the man going back to more common ground, re-introducing the straight kickdrum, wading through a haze of Ambient and pad-layers, installing a catchy synth on top and then letting those utmost affecting vocals shine.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
