Lovell lands on Bare Necessity with ‘Bag Of Bones’ EP

Bone breaking bass and powerful breaks are combined to create a selection of dark and vibey tracks. The ‘Bag Of Bones’ EP is not to be missed! With Lovell setting the bar high with his previous releases, this record does not disappoint.
Hailing from Kent, UK, Sam Lovell is hot on the Drum & Bass scene for both mixing and producing his own tracks. If what you crave is dark, rumbling basslines and tight, powerful breaks then look no further for satisfaction.
Whilst Lovell really cut his producing teeth with help from Studio 808 and Hadley, he soon took the game into his own hands and taught himself from there. A love for the genre which was fuelled in the mid-noughties upon discovering a Jungle Rewind mix from Shy FX has flourished into the drive to create technically complex, mind-stimulating beats and shell them out to his audiences.
His 2021 EP ‘Dreaded Sunny Day’ and 2020 release ‘Oxford’ speak for themselves – this guy is full of ideas. Inspired by the likes of Alix Perez, Waeys and Sustance, his intrinsic ear for the genre makes for exciting and hypnotic tracks not to be slept on. With releases on Grid, Holographic Audio, Pure Breeze, newly formed Vihara Records and other well-established labels, Lovell is a name you need in your archives.
Now 29, he has been producing Drum & Bass for 3 years. In this time he has been supported by big names Noisia, Twisted Individual, Fabio & Grooverider and Tyke to name just a few, exemplifying his multi-faceted approach to beatmaking.
Today we premiere the title track which you can check out on Soundcloud below. Lovell drops his ‘Bag Of Bones’ EP on 28th May via Bare Necessity Records as a Juno and Spotify exclusive and on general release on 11th June.
