Voodrop returns to Detached Audio

Share

Detached Audio is a label created by Manu in order to push experimental bass music crossed with ambient styles, initially drawing influence from Boards of Canada, with further influence coming from Drum & Bass labels such as Exit Records and Hospital Records to bring about a unique cross-genre style taking listeners on a journey.

They proudly welcome back Voodrop to the label after his killer free download, ‘Vertebrae’ which was released last year. Voodrop makes his comeback with two highly contrasting tracks, showcasing the talent and versatility of the Portuguese producer who has seen previous support from Kumarachi, Monrroe, Changing Ways, Emplate and many others.

Up first is our premiere, the deadly ‘Shaman’. Eerie atmospherics with ominous textures pave the way for a monster of a track with rugged basslines and thumping drumwork. Watch out…This one goes dark!

On the flipside, we have the ethereal ‘Don’t Make A Sound’. In a complete 180 from ‘Shaman’, Voodrop presents us with the gentle liquid sounds that fans will be familiar with. Stunning strings and horns make this track perfect for any morning.

Check out ‘Shaman’ below. It’s out on Detached Audio on 1st May so make sure you support the artist and label, if you can, by grabbing a copy of the release from here
