Karma Kingdom & Echo Motion collaborate on single

Share

Detached Audio welcome two members of the Bay 6 Recordings family – Bay 6 label owner Echo Motion, alongside Karma Kingdom, who comes hot from his recent ‘La Nuit Marche Avec Moi’ LP. The two talents bring us a gorgeous single showcasing their breathtaking sound across two highly contrasting liquid tracks.

Tommaso Ungetti aka Karma Kingdom, releases music that he wants to be remembered because of the fast changes and complexity of the drums and strong emotional imprint. Most of his works sound extremely melancholic with a strong emphasis on strings and organic samples coming from dark jazz records and other similar genres.

His influence comes from Drumfunk masterminds such as Venetian Snares & Igorrr up to Black Metal bands such as Deathspell Omega, and everything in between.

Jack Perry aka Echo Motion’s style of Drum & Bass has an emphasis on Breakbeats, and a strong soul and funk influence. He combines elements of surreal ambiences with the fast-paced, raw energy of breakbeat music. Taking inspiration from all genre’s and walks of life, but within Drum & Bass, his biggest influences are Random Movement, Calibre and Nu:Tone.

The combination of rolling breaks and beautiful samples will always be a winner. – Echo Motion

Leading the release is ‘Against Time’, in which stunning atmospherics are held together by a rigid halftime beat filled with scatterings of amens. This is a track that swiftly takes you away to a whole new world.

Our premiere ‘Count on Me’ is on the flipside. Leading in with an infectious guitar hook to give rise to a classic liquid roller, this piece is the perfect track to close off the Summer in style and class.

With these two tracks, Karma Kingdom and Echo Motion have shown how effortlessly their styles can melt together to create a variety of sounds, ready to captivate different audiences.

‘Against Time/Count On Me’ is released on Detached Audio on 13th September. Check out ‘Count On Me’ below and grab a copy from here
