Talkin’ Headz: The Metalheadz Documentary on the big screen

Metalheadz and Commune join forces to bring us Talkin’ Headz: The Metalheadz Documentary to the big screen for the very first time since it was originally released way back in 1998. The screening is scheduled for 8pm on Thursday 3rd October at The Rio in Dalston.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his lauded label, the legendary Goldie MBE will be joined on stage by Gilles Peterson. They will be talking about the magnitude of hitting the quarter of a century milestone and digging deep into the label’s remarkable history.

Talkin’ Headz: The Metalheadz Documentary is an intimate and immediate account of the drum & bass label as it poised for world domination. DJs and producers talk openly of the artistic freedom they enjoy, how the label has evolved to represent such a diverse musical scene and why moving forward and pushing the boundaries is so vital.

These guys have created a global phenomenon and are going to talk for the first time about how it was achieved, where it’s at and what the future holds.

The documentary features Adam F, DJ Bailey, Ink, Digital, Dillinja, Doc Scott, Ed Rush, Goldie, Grooverider, JMajik, Lemon D, MC Justiyc, Marly Marl, Matrix, Optical, Randall and Source Direct. There are also appearances from Andy C, GUS @ Reinforced, Gilles Peterson, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher and Ray Keith.
