Devstar Gets Heavy with ‘Wormhole’ on Make You Move Records

Share

Devstar is back on his own Make You Move Records on 16th October with the ‘Lost In Space’ EP, serving up two bass-heavy originals alongside remixes from Scott Diaz and Mees Mattern. We’re getting stuck into the opening track, ‘Wormhole’, for today’s Data Transmission premiere.

Co-founder of Make You Move alongside Timmy P, Devstar has been steering the label since 2020, building a home for groove-led house and garage. Following last year’s ‘Rinse Out’ EP and a summer outing on Jack Swift’s SPIL Records, he’s back with something a little tougher.

Our premiere, ‘Wormhole’, gets straight down to business. Skippy UKG drums, warped bass and a snarling acid-tinged LFO line make for a proper low-end workout. There’s plenty of movement in the groove, with enough weight behind it to cause trouble in a packed basement.

The second original, ‘The Way’, keeps the pressure on with sharp percussion, wobbling bass and chopped vocal hits. Scott Diaz then brings his trademark garage swing to ‘Wormhole’, adding spacey pads and classic UK flavours without losing the original’s bite.

Dutch producer Mees Mattern rounds things off with his take on ‘The Way’, injecting extra bounce and drive into an already lively cut.

Four tracks, two originals and a pair of remixes that give DJs plenty to work with. Devstar’s ‘Lost In Space’ EP finds Make You Move Records firmly in bass-heavy territory.

We’re premiering Devstar’s ‘Wormhole’ exclusively on Data Transmission today. Turn it up and get stuck in.

Devstar’s ‘Lost In Space’ EP lands on Make You Move Records on 16th October 2026.
