NUDE140: Deysa

Deysa is a female face of Techno music, a DJ and producer with dark faces devastating in all her movements since 2009. Controversial, unpredictable and in continuous change in her musical routes, Deysa is floating between her two parallel worlds: experimental sounds and Techno music. Her signature sound is a powerful and deep journey with acid influences and a mysterious atmosphere.

Her story begins in 2009, during the “Friday Fever” show on Radio DEEA, the most popular clubbing radio in Romania where she is based. The start point of her ascension as a DJ was in 2010 after a mainstage debut, she quickly rose through the ranks and is now one of the main exponents of the new generation. Her presence is greatly appreciated by the underground scene and its public while her sets enchant both Romanian and foreigners and hearts. She shared the stage with great artists such as: Boris Brejcha, Sharam, Sister Bliss (Faithless), Nastia, Jose Maria Ramon, Coyu, Ellen Allien, Lady Waks, Jay Lumen, Simina Grigoriu, Nusha, I Am Bam, and many.

In March 2020 she released at Kuukou Records E.P. “Euphoria” which included a remix by Dusty Kid which had good feedback from artists like James Zabiela, John Digweed, Robert Babicz, Dr. Motte and other big-name artists. Afterwards, she released the E.P. “Bipolar” includes a remix by Roby M Rage, one of the most appreciated artists from Italy, top 10 Hard Techno producers. In December 2020, Telekom Electronic Beats included her E.P.”Euphoria” in Top 30 Romanian releases of the year. She is Resident DJ & Brand Ambassador at VRJAM – a real-time platform for virtual concerts & immersive content creation.

Today, she joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…

This podcast is an explosion of energy and acid sounds. It is what you want to hear. Put on your dancing shoes & play it!

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

Is very hard to choose because all of them are bombs. I want to mention the track by Tony Romanello – Hyperion II. It’s killing me!

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

This mix is a journey from old Techno sound to the actual style. I dared to play one of my favorite Trance tracks by Rank 1 to be more condimental. I love Trance also 🙂

Tell us about your next EP?

My next EP is called “Techno Mamma” and it is inspired by my new life as a mother.

I created the first track the day before I gave birth to my little boy Julius. The second track is called “J’s Lullaby” and it was created when one night my little boy was sleeping and making some strange and funny noises. Then I said it’s time to record him and produce a track. Also, you can listen to it for the first time in this podcast.

What have you got coming up? At this moment I have many things to prepare for in my professional life. I planned to remix some tracks that have remained in my heart over time, but I won’t give you more info for now 😀 I have discussions to start a new project in which I will use my vocal skills and I am very excited for this reason.
At the same time, I am preparing the calendar of events, after a period in which I had to take a break because I was pregnant and recently gave birth. So, follow my page for future events! 🙂

I am also involved in the VRJAM project, a real-time platform for virtual concerts & immersive content creation where I am the resident DJ and brand ambassador. More information can be found at www.vrjam.com

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
