Hot off the tail of a breakout year in 2022, Canada’s Echomatics joins Interstellar Audio for a double single ‘Something In The Noise / Riddle Me This’ that pronounces the label’s intent to showcase some of the finest deep liquid coming through the scene right now.

Eric Simmons, better known as Echomatics is a Drum & Bass producer from Vancouver, Canada – the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. Echomatics has been exploring electronic music for over 20 years. Music has always been a motivation and outlet for him, starting in his early 20s after meeting a fantastic sound engineer who blessed him with his first computer and a copy of Cubase. Since that moment, creating music has been a crucial part of his life and kept him going through the good and bad times.

‘Something In The Noise’ takes us on an astral journey of introspection. Featuring moody growing basslines, tense pads that transport us to the space between and drums that are exciting and engineered to perfection.

‘Riddle Me This’ grows out of mysterious soundscapes into a percussive, futuristic rhythm that would be a fitting accompaniment for long walks through the never-ending night travelling at the final frontier. A progressive sound that builds to include keys, pads, atmosphere and deliciousness of all kinds, this one is a creeper.

Today we premiere ‘Something In The Noise’ which you can check out below. The two-track single drops via Interstellar Audio on Friday 10th February, make sure you grab a copy from here!
