Weval

Amsterdam duo Weval have shared details of their much anticipated self titled debut album for German techno institution, Kompakt.

Recorded over the summer of 2015 in an “old school building” that had been repurposed to house small creative businesses, the innovative pairing quickly found their office’s attic a sweet spot to make some noise.

“Working on the album all by ourselves in this bloody hot attic was all we had on our mind”, the artists confess. “We try to find the beauty in imperfection. It makes things sound more human.”

Taking inspiration from across the musical spectrum, they’ve tapped in to their own range of experiences to offer up a distinctly personal reflection of where they’re at as artists.

Set to arrive June 10th, you can stream the album’s first single ‘I Don’t Need It’ below.
