Ruben Mandolini debuts on Mother Recordings with the ‘Dark Side’ EP

The relentless Mother Recordings keep up a high-quality rate of release diet yet again with another bit of dance floor dynamite. We say hello and warmly embrace young gun Ruben Mandolini with his debut EP ‘Dark Side’.

With releases on Nic Fanciulli’s’ Saved or Josh Butlers’ Origins Rcrds, Mother Recordings welcome the talented and humble person to the family with his ‘Dark Side’ EP.  The opener ‘Dark Side’ has perfectly swung drums bringing a New York feel, with razor-sharp hi-hats and big warm kicks powering it along. Ducking and diving as it goes, the dynamism will sweep up the floor and then busy vocals and taught synth twangs help ramp things up.

Our premiere is the brilliant ‘Take It Back’ on the flip, which is another vocal house banger, with lots of filters bringing the tensions, sweeping synths rising you up and heavy drums keeping things rooted to the groove.
