DT732 – Nhan Solo

Label head Nhan Solo and Mother Recordings regular Dilby are back at it with another dynamite collaboration to start the year off with a bang! The combine on ‘Work’, which we premiered and is coming out on the aforementioned Mother Recordings on Friday 26th February.

Berlin-based DJ/Producer and label owner Nhan Solo set off on his mission for dominance of the Deep House music scene in 2012. In the 4 years that have followed, his enterprise Mother Recordings has provided the perfect haven for him. Over the years he’s brought on like-minded musicians to showcase their talents. It’s a healthy bunch of friends, artists and creative heads. Their individual life stories and experiences help to shape a very personal vision of contemporary House music. We’ve been a big fan for a while!

Today, he returns to the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
I miss DJing in clubs and this is how I sound!

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
My personal favourite track is Gettoblaster – H O U S E feat. Missy. I do love the Detroit trio,  the message and the track so much! Btw have I mentioned, we hit Beatport House #1 with it which was recently signed to my sister label Superfett Records.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Nhan Solo’s special flavour + House, House and more fvcking House!

Tell us about your next EP? Oh yeah! The boys are back in town!
My next EP at Mother Recordings is a dynamite collaboration release with my dear friend Dilby. ‘Work’ is a feel-good House record with the bounce and groove dial turned all the way up, coming out on FEB 26.

What have you got coming up?
I did a remix for my long time friends and supporters at Music Is 4 Lovers, San Diego. Super excited as the full package includes awesome remixes by JT Donaldson, Soul Of Hex and Michael Oberling. We have signed some incredible artists and tracks as GUZ, Brett Gould, Alaia Gallo, Pablo:Rita, The Deepshakerz, Marck Jamz, Hotswing & Lizz Hill. Exciting times here at Mother and Superfett Records, summer 2021 here we come!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
