Matt Guy debuts on My Techno Weighs a Ton

From minimal vibe to maximal style, this ‘guy’ Matt Guy knows them both. Hailing from Nottingham and possessing a love for bigger stage as well as club performances. Matt is nicely carving a name for himself in the UK scene. He began his London residency at the Egg London with people like Latmun, Detlef, Michael Bibi, Dennis Cruz et al.

Due out on 28th August, Matt Guy’s ‘Whistle Blower’ EP is set to come out on one of our favourite labels of recent years, My Techno Weighs a Ton. This 4-tracker marks Matt’s first official release to date. It’s an awesome debut from a guy who has already cut his teeth in the DJ world.  Going through influences of tech house & techno to jackin house & deeper bass vibe, and even to italo basslines, it’s a very strong debut. We’ve tested all these on stream sets and they don’t disappoint.

We premiere the excellent ‘Whistle Blower’ for you today, check it out below and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
