Dennis Cruz: Top 5 Underrated Underground Tracks


Spanish talent Dennis Cruz is a name that should be on your radar. As a DJ and producer, he continually sets trends with his fresh sounds receiving high praise from tastemakers and press alike, including BBC Radio 1, whilst releasing stand-out material on the likes of Moon Harbour, Solid Grooves, Stereo and Snatch!. With multiple appearances at The BPM Festival and ADE, plus regular club sets at renowned institutions including fabric (London) and Privilege (Ibiza), it’s easy to see why he’s quickly garnered a reputation as one of the industry’s leading lights.

As a DJ, Cruz plots exciting and emotional musical journey’s that weave together elements and influences from across the globe, taking him from Europe to South America, the States to Russia and the Far East, plus annual tours throughout Australia & New Zealand. Alongside featuring at some of the world’s most reputable clubs, regular festival appearances including BPM, Tomorrowland, ADE and WMC make up a significant part of his calendar.

This has been one of the tracks of the year for me. I used to play it in essentially all of my sets and it works every single time!

This one is the first track that I’ll be releasing on my new label with Eddy M, entitled MÜSE. It’s a groove-heavy cut with sharp percussion, vocal hooks and bumping bass – coming soon!

Blackchild (ITA) ‘Agartha’ [Solid Grooves Raw]

This guy is a really cool young producer that is making some noise at the moment and I’m always excited when I listen to all of his new tracks. This one is a big hit, released on Solid Grooves RAW this summer.

Hector Couto ‘Salimo’ [Solä]

A groovy track with great percussion and huge drop that always works the dancefloor in my sets.

Detlef ‘Music Please’ [Repopulate Mars]

I’ve been playing this in most of my sets ever since Detlef sent me it, people go crazy with this one!
