Goldie Honoured In New Years Honours List

Do not adjust your screen settings, you read that correctly; Metalheadz boss and drum & bass legend Goldie has been honoured in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

Speaking of the accolade, the Walsall-born musician has said that being awarded an MBE is the beginning, not the end of achievement for him.

“I turned 50 in September and I’ve always felt there’s more work to do,” Goldie explains.

Born Clifford Price and also known as The Alchemist, Goldie picks up his gong for for his contribution to the music, TV and film industries and his work with a number of charities. He then took to twitter to thank the many unsung heroes and heroines that have helped him achieve his ambitions.
