It shows how far the world of D&B has come that an artist as credible in the scene as Friction is now the face of Radio 1’s flagship Drum & Bass weekly Sunday show. Currently at work on his new album, which features the forthcoming monster single, ‘Long Gone Memory (Ulterior Motive Remix) featuring Arlissa on vocals he took some time out of the studio recently to host Original Penguin’s rooftop ‘Plugged In’  summer party and this is the resulting live promo to accompany the song that’s all over radio and the clubs. It’s the first video to drop for the track, and we feel it perfectly captures the energy of Friction in a DJ setting.  It is the latest endeavour by non music brands to support breaking new acts and we’ve enjoyed watching Original Penguin cross genres with their Plugged In series which has so far already seen them host parties with Benga, Jake Bugg, Devlin and Miles Kane

Check out the video below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
