Exclusive Premiere: Morcheeba – Gimme Your Love (Dave Davis & Sonny Wharton)

It’s finally Friday and after a long week at work we’re in the mood for some fresh music to get us in the mood for the weekend.  So we thought what better way to do just that than with an exclusive premiere of a Sonny Wharton and Dave Davis remix of million-selling electronic music pioneers Morcheeba?

‘Gimme Your Love’ is the first single from the bands hotly anticipated new album ‘Head Up High’ which  is set for release globally through PIAS on the 14th October with a confirmed world tour to follow. Equally exciting is who the band have on remix duties: Sonny Wharton and Dave Davis.

Sonny Wharton has emerged in the past couple of years as one of the brightest prospects in the UK. Described by The Shapeshifters as “one of the most prolific producers out there” he’s remixed the likes of Fatboy Slim, Frankie Knuckles and The Temper Trap. Releasing singles on Size, Toolroom, Spinnin’ and Skint Sonny has received regular support from house music heavyweights Pete Tong, Steve Angello, Roger Sanchez and Mark Knight as he continues to push his own label Whartone Records and dominate the download charts whilst Dave Davis is having and equally big 2013 full of new growth and regeneration with a major new releases for UK label Skint Records.
