Debut Transmission: Dead Man’s Chest – Unnatural Mystic

Dead Man’s Chest – the hardcore/jungle revival project from Alex Eveson – returns with a third EP for Ingredients this March 18th.

Following on his Dreamscapes and Nautilus EPs (check out a track from the latter here), Alex’s 4-track Farseer release sticks to his slower bpm and rave aesthetic guidelines, but leans in the direction of esoteric rollers. “Dead man‘s chest is simply me delving into and re-imagining the music that got me hooked 20-odd years ago,” says the Bristol producer.

Today’s Debut Transmission ‘Unnatural Mystic’ is as arcane and unpredictable as its title suggests, with muffled chants that swirl through layers of relentless breaks and fuzzy pads. The track can be streamed exclusively below and picked up next month via digital download or red and orange marbled 12″ vinyl.
