Creche celebrates its 10th birthday

Creche celebrates its 10th birthday on Saturday 28th December at the amazing E1.

Creche was born out of the need to inject something fresh into London’s club scene at the turn of the last decade. With a minimal sound dominating East London and dark warehouse spaces the norm, Creche spun things upside down and brought a fresh musical policy infusing Disco, Electro and feel good House music to venues unused by other promoters at the time.   The early days included parties in Cargo’s garden, The Brickhouse on Brick Lane and the Queen of Hoxton basement raves before Creche took things up a gear taking over Ministry of Sound club and car park for legendary mammoth 18-hour raves bringing the day and night concept to London clubbing.

So to mark this 10-year milestone Creche returns on the Saturday after Xmas, just when you’re ready to party again,  hosting its 10th birthday at the amazing E1 in Wapping. This venue boasts arguably the best sound system in London, a wall of bass bins and subwoofers!

Putting together the biggest line up since the glory days, Canadian legends Art Department headline alongside Creche’s very own Alexis Raphael who will be playing a special history of Creche set spanning the last decade. Robert James and Russ Yallop, two of the Creche favourites from years gone by and legends of that era will also be making an appearance, with Rob doing a special one-off 2010-2013 classic Deep House set.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
