We’re big fans of Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons imprint here at Data Transmission. We’ve also got quite the soft spot for UK producer Addison Groove. Thus you can imagine our excitement at the news the two would be hooking up again for the release of a new EP featuring a collaboration with the late, great DJ Rashad.

Titled ‘Turn Up The Silence’, the new EP offers four new cuts which promise to differ dramatically in style and explore the full spectrum of electronic music from electro to minimal drum and bass whilst the release’s collaborative cut – ‘U Been Gone’ which was produced in conjunction with scene innovator DJ Rashad is billed as “a homage to one of footworks greatest.”

Scheduled to arrive August 8 you can preview EP track ‘Push It’ below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
