Jammez drops his ‘Kitsune’ EP on Bowlcut Beats
James Graham aka Jammez is a London-based DJ and producer. He specialises in deep and dark Drum & Bass with an emphasis on soulful vocals and temporal themes. Having produced for 4 years now, Jammez has begun to make a name for himself in the scene. He has already achieved an EP signing with Ray Keith‘s Dread Recordings, along with releases on DnB Allstars, Pick ‘N’ Mix, Encrypted Sound and various other labels.
His music has so far garnered support from the likes of Bou, Ray Keith, DJ Hybrid and more. Jammez has also played a vast array of gigs over the last 3 years, having supported: Voltage, TC, Upgrade, Levela and Particlejust to name a few. Jammez’s sound has been evolving as of late which is a direct result of lockdown. This has brought out an immense passion for the rolling liquid style of Drum & Bass.
The title track from his new release is a gnarly bass banger with steppy drums, filthy amen breaks and a dreamy vocal that will have you hooked just in time for summer.
For the second single on the EP we have ‘Whisker’. Starting with a euphoric intro before jumping into a bass-heavy face melter with luscious synths and vocals. This one will do the damage.
Man of the moment Operate delivers the remix of the title track and this one will turn heads! With a mood-setting intro, shuffling drums and a chest rumbling bassline that takes the groovy original into darker territories. This one has been doing the rounds on livestreams and will be a head-turner when dropped on any occasion.
Another heavy outing from Bowlcut Beats and their eighth release to continue on from their incredible start for the label. Watch this space for lots more to come in 2021.
Today we premiere the original mix of ‘Kitsune’ which you can check out below. The ‘Kitsune’ EP drops via Bowlcut Beats on 25th June and is available from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
