Erritate drops ‘Pastel / La Llorona’ on Monk Audio

This month’s offering from Monk Audio is being served up by none other than the Dartford based label owner himself, Jack Dann, otherwise known as Erritate. He gifts us 2 new tracks called ‘Pastel’ and ‘La Llorona’. His previous releases on the label include the ‘Mowgli’ EP in 2019, ‘Skillet‘ in 2020, and ‘Dismal’, which came on the various artists’ EP at the end of last year. He has also enjoyed outings on labels like Section 23 and Echo Chamber that have been received well, including support from platforms like ourselves and Drum&BassArena.
Erritate is a DJ/Producer based in Kent, UK. Like most Drum & Bass heads, he got his introduction to the genre when he was at school. He was always eager to be the first to hear and play new music to his mates through phone speakers. Later on, this lead to his love for DJ’ing and dubplate culture. Wanting to always have the “First play” Erritate quickly realised that he would have to produce his own music and with that to match the diversity of his sets a melting pot of Jump up, Breakbeat, Jungle, Liquid & Dark rollers were born.
Erritate has cheffed up two gritty numbers for this release. The A side is a track called ‘Pastel’, with a nasty yet effective vibe to it that is sure to cause some terror on the dancefloor. On the flip, you have ‘La Llorona’, a groovy number consisting of fast-moving breaks and atmosphere. This release perfectly captures the raw sound and emotion that Erritate brings through time and time again.
Today we premiere ‘La Llorona’ which you can check out below. The two track single drops via Monk Audio on 5th July and is available to get your hands on from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player.
