Bassment drops his ‘Golden Scars’ EP on Counterpoint

Share

With 2020 finally coming to an end, Counterpoint Recordings are happy to announce their last release of the year featuring another long-overdue return to the label.

Bassment is an integral part of the Counterpoint team, and he was the head behind the first-ever release on the label. He now returns for a second EP on Counterpoint called ‘Golden Scars’, with special guest – Philth delivering a heavyweight “Tech Remix”.

Since his debut on Counterpoint, Bassment has been patiently perfecting his craft, landing several releases along the way, on labels like Fokuz, Citrus and Skalator Music. Counterpoint always set the bar extremely high for their in-house talent, and this EP is a testament to it. Three tracks which convey a peek into the artist’s mind, and how he manages to blend his background in Architecture into his music. The release closes off with a “Tech Remix” from London based artist – Philth who delivers a crisp and hard-hitting twist on the most musical track of the EP.

Philth combines widescreen imagery with precision engineering, he never loses sight of the dancefloor but retains the human touch with a sound that can touch your soul while rattling your ribcage with a bassline straight out of 1999!

With this very strange year in its final chapter, Counterpoint have this to say:

We want to send out love to everyone in the industry, who has been working hard to keep pushing the scene forward through unprecedented times. Let’s hope 2021 is the year we all need. Happy Holidays, and love to you and yours.

Today we premiere Philth’s remix of ‘Riverside’ and it’s an absolute belter! What a way to end the year for us! Check it out below and grab it from here
