collaborates with leading Glaswegian record label Numbers to present the Numbers Showcase. With a host of stand out releases under their belt including those by Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, SBTRKT, Mosca and Jamie XX, Numbers have a serious passion for cutting edge, electronic dance music. And with 10 years experience of putting on Glasgow’s best club nights, They certainly know a thing or two about putting on an unforgettable party. Two of the Numbers’ founders will be making their way to Katowice (Poland) for the Numbers Showcase in August, with Jackmaster and Spencer both set to deliver unforgettable DJ sets. DJing from a young age, the two school friends have been honing their own unique styles for years. Spencer has released a series of astounding mixes and Jackmaster, known for his unpredictability and effortless ability to mix a range of genres, is always a crowd favourite. Also appearing in the Numbers Showcase will be the enigmatic SOPHIE and the producer’s futuristic brand of club music, the retro sounds of multi-talented Londoner Redinho, electronic dance craftsman Deadboy and Syrian icon Omar Souleyman rounds off the showcase as a special guest. Adding to ‘s burgeoning selection of master producers will be Vladislav and Yosi Horikawa. Never one to shy away from experimentation, Sas Ripatti, aka Vladislav Delay, has released a slew of records that span techno, house, glitch, ambient and jazz under various guises and will no doubt impress when he arrives at the festival. Yosi Horikawa will also be drawing in festival-goers with his unique DIY style and sample gathering that bring the Japanese producer’s music and performance to life. The festival is also proud to reveal that German modern classical composer Gregor Schwellenbach will be bringing his acclaimed ‘Spielt 20 Jahre Kompakt’ to the Polish music festival. Created as a celebration of 20 years of Cologne-based record label Kompakt, the album ‘Spielt 20 Jahre Kompakt’ is a re-imagination of the labels finest moments in Schwellenbach’s own classical style. As well as featuring some of the world’s leading electronic DJs and producers, is also a solid supporter of home-grown talent and has invited the electric sounds of NOVIKA and KAMP! to this year’s line-up.
With easily the most pioneering and exciting electronic music line-up on the European festival calendar, this year’s will be unforgettable. Achieving recognition at the European Festival Awards, having been voted the ‘Best Small Festival’ in 2012, prides itself on creating a festival experience like no other. The festival will feature special live performances, A/V shows, new collaborations, label showcases and DJ sets, all in the beautiful industrial location of a disused coal mine in the Upper Silesia Region of Poland. The old production halls, warehouses, carpentries and the amazing pressure tower prove to be the ideal acoustics for showcasing anything from instrumental nu-jazz to the dark sounds of minimal techno.

Also joined by Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, JETS – a joint project by Jimmy Edgar and Travis Stewart plus a phenomenal 20th Anniversary showcase from the esteemed German label Kompakt records, consisting of a DJ set from DJ Koze, Sid le Rock and Coma, Mathias Aguayo and Spanish duo ZA! Also Zebra Katz and Njena Reddd Foxxx, London Grammar, Jon Hopkins, Holly Herndon, Mmoths, Darling Farah, BadBadNotGood, Adrian Sherwood, Darkstar and Dawn Day Night.
