TOM TRAGO (Rush Hour)

On headlining duties in the basement tonight, Distrikt welcome infamous Dutchman, Tom Trago, who has released on labels like Rush Hour, forever fomenting his own Detroit meets disco sound as well as leaning on other influences like electro, deep house and much more. He plays the best clubs each weekend, from fabric to Berghain.

DJ DEREK (Sweet Memory Sounds)

DJ Derek is a seventy something your old music fanatic who lives off London Pride and reggae. He brings the house down every time he plays and is one of Distrikt’s favourite and most regular guests.

DJ CASH MONEY Slowdown Sounds

Born and raised in Philadelphia, DJ Cash Money (aka Jerome Hewlett) is a turntablist, hip-hop artist and record producer. He impressed the world with his remarkable turntable skills inventing and perfecting several scratch forms, including the famous transformer scratch (mimicked the robotic sound effects from the cartoon series of the same name). A close friend and rival to the local boy and hip hop legend Jazzy Jeff, the pair spent their rise to fame DJ-ing at parties together as “Kings of Spin”. Cash is also credited with creating the Pee Wee Herman scratch and established the Chirp scratch.

Kenny Larkin headlines – a man who’s colourful character always comes out in his seminal house and techno records and has done for years.  As well as being a stand-up comedian, Kenny is often cited as one of the most influential producers… ever.  Someone just as instrumental to the development of techno over the decades is Kevin Saunderson. A member of the Belleville Three, Sauderson’s legacy is ever secured thanks to his membership of Inner City whose seminal hit ‘Good Life’ will never grow old. As well as on his own legendary techno label KMS, Saunderson releases on Planet E among many others.

Anthony John Culverwell, under his superhero pseudonym of DJ Switch, has conquered the world several times over with his scratching superpowers. Since he started moving records back & forth at the tender age of 11, he’s claimed a holy trinity of DMC WORLD CHAMPION titles. And having proved himself as one of the finest turntablists on the planet, is now well on the way to establishing himself as an equally successful club DJ & general party rocker.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
