You must be really looking forward to playing at Digital Society’s 7th Birthday in March! Out of the other DJs on the line-up, which is your personal favourite?

Well I have grown up at Digital Society over the years so playing there is always going to be special for me. Digital Society is the best brand in England for me as far as quality club nights go. Every single night is amazing. The guys at DS work hard to put on special events and they never disappoint. The line-up for the 7th birthday is absolutely insane. I am looking forward to the whole night to be honest, but for me JOC vs Aly & Fila is going to be the highlight. Every time these two play together it’s special. They work well together and their sound just gels. This is my professional debut at Digital Society and it’s something I have been working towards for a very long time. It’s going to be a really special night for me.

Who would you most like to work with in the future?

There are so many artists that I would love to work with, one being Menno De Jong and I am happy to announce that myself and Menno are making our first track together in March. Menno is someone who has firmly cemented himself in the Trance scene over the last 6 or 7 years and to be asked to do a collaboration with him was just crazy. I think I really impressed him with my remix of his new single and it’s gone from there. Another artist I want to work with is Sneijder and we are going to be making our first collaboration late 2014. I am also working on other collaborations at the moment and these are going to be really exciting. In the future I’d love to make tracks with Sean Tyas, Aly & Fila and John O Callaghan. All of these artists have supported most of my music so there is no reason why it shouldn’t happen…

Bryan Kearney and I have already made a remix together of Conductor & The Cowboy’s Feeling This Way, and we will be working together again soon. For me Bryan is an absolute legend and when he asked me to remix a track with him I was especially honoured. As for our first original collaboration, Bryan is keen for me to develop myself as a solo artist at the moment, so when the time is right we will be bringing you guys some great music.

Who, outside of the music industry, has been your greatest inspiration?

It’s hard to say but it would have to be my friends. We have all grown up in the Trance scene together and they have all been there on my production journey. I was 20 when I first started clubbing and around 21 when I first started producing. My friends inspire me to do well and they help me out all the time, showing me huge support. If it wasn’t for them I probably would not be where I am now musically.

Finally, what’s on the horizon for 2014?

Well there is a lot, I can say that right now. The biggest thing I is my gig diary and countries I plan to visit this year. I have already got loads of confirmed gigs around the world that I’ve not announced and things are really starting to move on the bookings front. I can’t say too much but it looks like I be visiting all sorts of places that I never thought I’d have the chance to visit. To be able to go to these places and share my love for Trance music is the best thing anyone could ever give me- I cannot wait!! Music wise, I am currently working on the official follow up to Napalm Poet which will see the track continued. It’s like a development of Napalm Poet but the theme is the same, big vocals, big lead. Myself and Bryan wanted bring the next chapter of the song to life so to speak, and it’s taken me a long time to get a melody and breakdown that can stand up to Napalm Poet. It did so well last year that it was a no brainer for us to try and get a similar sounding track out on Kearnage for 2014. It has been a massive challenge to write a track that sounds similar but different enough that it’s not an exact copy. The track itself is nearly finished and it needs to be approved by Bryan, but I am confident that it is going to go down well. It has that epic sound that Napalm Poet has, kind of like Napalm Poet’s new brother or sister so to speak, haha. You will instantly know it’s the follow up, put it that way. I have a sick name too which keeps the theme going. I can’t say much yet but Bryan will be debuting this track at ASOT 650 if all goes well!

I also have a new original called Velocity in French and that is due out in April on Monster Tunes. I am really proud of this one, it’s got a few twists and turns in it. Uplifting, tech, technical fills etc. It’s given me the chance to experiment with my technical ability. I have only played the track once, and have made some changes since then, but can’t wait to start playing it more.

Another exciting project I have coming up is a remix for another big artist in the scene and a huge vocal remix for Binary Finary coming on Digital Society‘s label. I am massively excited for both of these projects!
