4 years Of We Fear Silence

When We Fear Silence launched back in 2009 their mission was simple; to banish any notion of quiet from the capital by facing only forward in everything we did from the outset. The night was conceived to bring together some of the most innovative and experimental London promoters, all under one banner. Having always placed an emphasis on provoking thought, rather than adhering to trends and our cross-genre approach, the focus was on quality and character rather than having one single musical direction. So, of course, after 4 years,  a smorgasbord of different musical characters and crowds We Fear Silence have now announced that they have selected Boddika to helm the evening celebrations.

Formerly a member of experimental, half-tempo Drum & Bass duo Instra:Mental, Boddika or Alex Green is an ever evolving force in electronic music. Alongside Jon Convex, Instra:Mental embarked on a determinedly independent course for their label, Nonplus, releasing German experimental House from Kassem Mosse, electronic strangeness from Actress, and dubstep from the likes of Skream.  His musical peculiarities will be supported by the talents of the similarly genrerly ambigious BNJMNDexter and Roman Lindau to make sure We Fear Silence leaves the toddler stage with a bang.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
