TAI needs little introduction with the London born, German-based house DJ and producer living life to the full through his alter ego as an electro DJ and producer of some of the hottest electronic and house beats on the scene. With releases on Dim Mak, Boysnoize Records, Southern Fried, Turbo and Mixmash to name but a few this guy means business for 2014.

After hearing some of his productions earlier in the year we then spent the following days plotting how best to get one of the pairing on the DT podcast. Now we’ve secured the services of TAI and proudly present them to you as an early Christmas present with this exclusive mix. Get yourself acquainted with TAI’s dexterity behind the decks now via this carefully curated selection of sounds. Guaranteed to warm up those cold winter nights!

What’s your personal favourite track on it?I just finished off a Trap track I did with Zombie Nation for fun. So I am having allot of fun playing this out at the moment. I’m playing it Friday in Vienna, Saturday in Milan and Sunday in Paris.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?Its my typical jumble-up of underground and overground. Which I also always have in my productions too. My favorite is combining random, freaky, nerdy, edity, strange sounds with good, sweet, positive, triumpfing melodies.

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?I loved RAW festival in Barcelona. Very good vibe all the way back till I couldn’t see no more. Tomorrowland was very special because I closed down the Dim Mak stage this year.

What have you got coming up?I just released my single The Thrill with Kay which we finished shooting the video in L.A and then end of January I will be releasing my new EP on Dim Mak records called, JUST SMILE!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?Hope to see you soon at a show. Hit me up anywhere on @therealTAI and let me know hope you like the mix. Thankyou for this interview.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
