349 – Adana Twins

When people think of European house it is easy to let your mind drift to the beaches of Ibiza or glitzy clubs on the Champs-Élysées and whilst we love spending time on the White Isle and the French capital, for us when we think house, we think Hamburg. So for this weeks podcast we taken a trip to West Germany to deliver a mix from one of our favorite sets of artists in the Adana Twins.

After witnessing one of their “adrenalizing” sets at their residency at uber-cool Hamburg club EGO and seeing them drop unforgettable performances throughout Germany and Europe with their deep and eclectic sets we thought it was about time we shared the talents of the Exploited Records duo via our exclusive podcast. Known for their fresh, funky and fun brand of house music it’s not hard to see why the pairing have also been picked up by fellow Hamburg resident and new school house heavyweight Solomun with a such a bright future ahead of them. Brought together by by the power of good Turkish food and the love for grooving electronic music we feel that Adana Twins sum up everything in this set that is great, not only about the producers behind it, but also about house music in general. Check it out.Sum up this podcast in 10 words…100 percent Adana Club Sound that moves your ass. 🙂

What’s your personal favourite track on it?The Joy track from Moodymanc! So many good vibes in it that def. brings a smile to your face. What’s the special ingredient in this mix?Our upcoming remix for Schwarz Dont Crack which is coming soon on Kitsuné. You are the first ones ever who can listen to it. Don’t forget people: no need to rip here. We’ve put some hyper intelligent watersigns in it. For example: If u rip the track they reconize that and they come to your house to cut off your penis. 😉 What’s the best gig you’ve played recently? For me (Take it Easy) def the gig last Sunday at the i.Boat in Bordeaux. The french people are amazing. it’s always awseome how much energy they have and how deep into the music they are. What have you got coming up?  This week we are going for 2 Weeks to Australia.  Really looking forward to this. Then of course we are happy to be at ADE were we have the honor to play at 3 Partys:    – The ADE DeepHouse Special from the Pleinvrees and the Strafwerk guys – the Exploited Label showcase  – A private JEUDI Showcase for 200 people at the Loveland Office which will be streamed LIVE on the internet.    We also have to finsh our new EP for Exploited, The beats are ready and now we are searching for a singer. but stay tuned: it’s coming sooon. And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?Hopefully u like the mix! And don’t forget: If u like it, spread it!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
