Born on Road host virtual D&B festival this weekend

Free up your weekend, fire up your sound systems and alert your neighbours. The Born on Road Weekender will be streaming live to your living room this weekend via Facebook.

Spanning the course of three days from May 15th-17th, the Born on Road Weekender will be treating the drum and bass community to a hefty line-up of label favourites and special guests. From well-known label faces including Kelvin 373, Aries, Ben Snow, Crossy and Gray, to special guests such as Sub Zero, Bladerunner, Upgrade b2b T>I, Ed Solo, Euphonique, DJ Gaw, Frenetic & Natty D and more, the Born on Road Weekender is a live streamed event not to be missed.

During lockdown we have been treated to many amazing live streams helping to relieve the anxieties of music fans around the world, ranging from the community unity created by Stay at Home Festival, to the heroics of the Prototypes’ 24 hour live stream.

This weekend Bristol favourites Born on Road will no doubt be joining the acclaimed list of streams we reflect on later down the line as some of the ones we were most thankful for in a time of worry and uncertainty.

With bars, clubs, venues and festivals a distant memory due to the lockdown imposed by Covid-19, Born On Road wanted to make sure everyone still gets their much needed musical doses, so have put together a virtual festival featuring a star studded line-up of the finest in the underground jungle/D&B world, all in aid of charity.” – Kelvin 373

Alongside providing much needed escapism, Born on Road will be raising money for two charitable causes during the event – Crisis and St Paul’s Playground. As a cause close to the hearts of those at the label, Crisis is a charity who support and provide accommodation to homeless people across the UK. Born on Road will be donating 50% of all money raised towards helping support the work of the charity.

On top of this, donations will be made to St Paul’s Adventure Playground – a community interest group supporting vulnerable children and local families in Bristol. Recently the playground was subject to an arson attack, therefore donations will go towards re-building the playground and ensuring families have a place to enjoy with their children.

Those who are familiar with Born on Road will know exactly what you are going to get from their virtual festival. Expect dubs, wubs, and above all good vibes to help lift spirits and do some good for the vulnerable in the community.
