Save Chew!

Our dear friends at Chew.tv have been through a rough patch recently, at the end of December last year, they discovered their infrastructure had been misused. Pirates(s) had used Chew’s platform to illegally rebroadcast a major sporting event — streaming their live content on their infrastructure, while delivering it on their own ad-supported websites. The infrastructure provider decided that, because the compromise was preventable (despite the fastest possible action taken to remedy it), they are liable for the fraudulent cost – which totals around £22,500.

You can read about what happened here.

So What’s Next?

The cost of what happened is more than Chew can afford as a business and they are facing closure if they can’t raise the funds to cover this financial shortfall.   They are a DJs’ livestreaming platform – a website, community and collective that connects DJs and they are calling on everyone now to help them raise the funds to save their platform. They’ve set up a GoFund.me to raise the 12k needed to save the platform and continue delivering amazing content.

Please Help Them!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
