VLTRA & Francis de Simone join the Spotlight Mix

Loco Dice launches new label SB Recordings, welcoming VLTRA and Francis De Simone for the imprint’s first release.

Up-and-coming talents within Italy’s thriving house landscape, Palermo-based duo VLTRA and fellow Sicilian Francis De Simone have started laying the groundwork with solo EPs and material between them on the likes of Hot Creations, Solid Grooves Raw, Repopulate Mars and more. Having previously worked with one another on REALM and Too Many Rules, they now unveil their biggest collaboration to date as they launch SB Recordings with ‘Flowcito’.

VLTRA’s sound stands out for its solidity accompanied by funk facets that plows the road to the Underground world, without ever forgetting the love for House Music.
The duo was born in the era of EDM music, around 2012 bringing to its sounds some particular influences, the VLTRA project starts in 2018.

Francis De Simone is a drummer since the age of 2, born in a family of musicians, he cultivates his passion for music from an early age, studying drums and music in general in various musical schools. He acquires skills in various musical styles including: rock, pop, jazz, but specializes in funk, R&B, hip hop and Latin. The influence for electronic music has been within him since he was a child, having a father who worked in the security of discos influenced him a lot, so for a few years he has also entered the field of electronic composition, and above all experimenting with new grooves on the instrument. His sound is influenced by various musical genres and conforms to dance sounds mixed with modern and well-structured grooves.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
