Francis De Simone lands on Dark Shades Records with a four-track EP titled ‘Pumpin”. The package also includes remixes by the highly talented Daniel Orpi and VLTRA!

Francis De Simone has been a drummer since the age of 2, born in a family of musicians, he cultivated his passion for music from an early age, studying drums and music in general in various musical schools. He acquires skills in various musical styles including rock, pop, jazz, but specializes in funk, R&B, hip hop and Latin.

The influence for electronic music has been within him since he was a child, having a father who worked in the security of discos influenced him a lot, so for a few years, he has also entered the eld of electronic composition, and above all experimenting with new grooves on the instrument. His sound is influenced by various musical genres and conforms to dance sounds mixed with modern and well-structured grooves.

The label says “This release by Francis de Simone is one that we have been excited about for months! Also includes remixes by Daniel Orpi and VLTRA! These guys have been putting in some amazing tracks on major labels the past few years. We’re honoured to have them join the family!”

Kicking things off with “Pumpin.”, not only is the original a club slapper but the remixes are just as good with each version having its own unique feel. We also have the b-side titled “Flirt” which is such a heavy low-end groover. Both titled tracks have the perfect balance of Tech House and Hip Hop which we’ve been excited to rebrand ourselves with.

We premiere ‘Flirt’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
