Share

Michael Bibi has been diagnosed with central nervous system lymphoma, a rare cancer that affects the spine and brain, and has been hospitalised for treatment.

Primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma occurs when cancer cells form in the lymph tissue of the brain and/or spinal cord, according to the National Cancer Institute. CNS lymphoma is rare, according to the Cleveland Clinic, with about 1,500 new cases in the United States each year.

A few weeks ago he posted on Instagram after postponing some gigs saying “He was hospitalized with health problems that he initially attributed to tinnitus and was doing loads of tests to work out what it was”

He posted on Instagram last night to update everyone with this message “Hello world, writing this post is a hard one.. last week I was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma. A very rare cancer that effects the brain & spine. Unfortunately, it’s moving fast & l to have to stay in the hospital starting treatment immediately 😔 Typing this message doesn’t quite seem real & I’m sorry for the bad news. I don’t know what lies ahead, I’m tired but I know I am strong & I won’t let this beat me. I will be back stronger for you all. Love Bibi ❤️”

Solid Grooves wrote this last night “As everybody knows, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi has been the heart and soul of all things SG for the past decade, taking the brand across the globe and creating a unique family of residents and close friends – all while maturing and growing into an international superstar in his own right. However, unfortunately we have to share that Michael was sadly diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma a week ago and is currently undergoing treatment in hospital. The entire Solid Grooves team sends our love and support while he recovers, and we hope to have him back with us as soon as possible to make more memories.”

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
