Q. Sum up this podcast in 10 words…

A. Real proper fu**king techno that sucks you into the groove.

Q. What’s your personal favourite track on it?

A. Thomas Schumacher – When I Rock (Johannes Heil Remix) – this track is a good reminder of what techno is about from back in the day, and it still holds up against today’s techno. What an absolutely amazing bit of techno!

Q. What’s the special ingredient in this mix

A. No nonsense! Just real raw techno grooves and rhythms.

Q. Tell us about your next EP?

A. I have a more musical track coming out on Gregor Tresher’s label this month, as I like to explore all areas in my techno productions.

Q. What have you got coming up?

A. I’ve got loads of gigs coming up this year and I’m also dipping my toe in the teaching side of production; this is with the likes of Mixmasters over in Ibiza. I’ve been really enjoying this side of things as it is something new and fresh.

Q. And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

A. There is so much garbage masquerading as techno at the moment from all angles – from EDM to  Gaba. I would encourage people to follow their ears and not the heard. Seek out good music from the amazing wealth of producers out there. Don’t just submit to what paid-for social media force feeds down your neck. If you seek it out, you will find some real quality underground music as it still exists out there!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
