New duo Kind Fiction debuts on Four Corners with ‘Kinder Days/Fumble’

For their 2nd release of 2023, Four Corners Music continue the trend of launching brand new acts that are making incredible music. This time round it comes in the form of two liquid cuts drenched in feel-good vibes that are sure to wash away any January blues and transport you to a happier place. For their 69th release, they are very proud to present Kind Fiction with ‘Kinder Days’ and ‘Fumble’.

While Kind Fiction is a new project for this Manchester-based duo they are no strangers to the scene. Both are artists in their own right with back catalogues spanning a number of years. Having solo releases on Four Corners Music as well as many other labels.

Having met in Leeds as fellow residents of Northern underground favourite, Overflow (now in its 10th year), and co-members of the Leeds DJ society, Audio Active they began to join forces on break heavy, liquid releases.

Over the coming years, the pair continued to work together both musically and professionally in the world of nightclub management, most notably Canal Mills and D.I.Y Drum & Bass hub, The Old Red Bus Station, exposing them to a huge variety of electronic music.

Having left Leeds towards the end of 2019 a decision was made to form a new joint alias, and following a tricky move to Manchester mid lockdown, the pair began work in Ernest from their shared home in the southern suburbs from which their debut EP takes its name.

While the mystery pair have turned heads with their solo output in the past, we believe they are onto something truly special by joining forces as Kind Fiction. If you don’t believe us then head to one of their upcoming gigs to find out who they are and more importantly HEAR who they are.
