Tresor Announce Drexciya Reissue

Good news techno lovers. Seminal Berlin label Tresor have been raiding their archives again, this time deciding to reissue iconic Detroit duo Drexciya’s 2002 album Harnessed The Storm.

The reissue follows a re-release for late Drexciya member James Stinson side project Transllusion’s early noughties effort ‘The Opening of the Cerebral Gate’. Originally conceived as part of “the Drexciyan storm” the album was one of seven LP’s from James Stinson and Gerald Donald to see release within a amazingly prolific period for the duo which began with Drexciya‘s ‘Harnessed the Storm’ and culminated with Stinson’s Warp classic ‘Lifestyles of the Laptop Café’ under his Other People Place alias.

Set for release December 1 via Tresor you can check out the tracklist for Harnessed The Storm below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
