Toolroom Records launch the Second #WeAreListening for Female Artists



Back on International Women’s Day 2018 on Friday 8th March, Toolroom Records announced their new initiative to get more women’s music on the label.

To follow this, they have just announced the second #WeAreListening (check our recent feature) event which this time features Jon Kong (Leftwing & Kody) doing a production masterclass and Monki (BBC Radio 1) doing an hour Q&A and Data Transmission’s Grahame Farmer doing marketing class.

Toolroom said about #WeAreListening “Our mission is simple, by 2019, we want to have more women release music on Toolroom.”

It’s a Free day all you need to do is sign up BY Monday 15th October to: [email protected] with their artist social media links & SoundCloud pages.

Girls who have applied will then be e-mailed if they have been selected!


Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
