It seems an age ago now that Joker exploded onto the scene with a series of attention grabbing releases such as ‘Purple City’ and ‘Snake Eater’.  A born performer who is just as comfortable behind the decks as in the studio we were slightly disappointed with his debut album back in 2011 but were pleased to see him back to his  best this year with the release of April’s ‘The Face Off’ EP which saw the Bristolian revert to type.

Now following up from the sharing of playful free mini-album of 8 bit enthused material entitled ‘Joker Drive’ the bass loving producer has unveiled his new EP a month ahead of its release. Entitled the ‘Head Top’ EP the upcoming material comprises of four fresh tracks that further showcase his signature ‘purple’ dubstep although a variety of new elements being introduced from haunting organ tones to pitched vocal harmonies sees the release traversing slightly different climes to his previous work.

Set for release this December via his own Kapsize imprint you can check the EP out in full below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
