Stream Galantis’ ‘Pharmacy’

Our more EDM inclined staffers and contributors are loving Galantis right now, with their chart monster ‘Runaway (U & I)” its body shaking b-side ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ and their new album ‘Pharmacy’ all causing them to thaw out their bogeying muscles with LP now available to stream via their Soundcloud page.

Their debut album as a duo, ‘Pharmacy’ and Galantis should be more than a little familiar to followers of that big room sound considering the outfit consists of of Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson of Miike Snow and Linus Eklöw of Style of Eye. Blending synth-pop with more club orientated sensibilities and carefully crafted lyrics, all of their songs begin as guitar or piano sketches and so are much more formed than your average ‘EDM banger’.

Stating in a recent interview with Stereogum “I think that’s really the main ingredient in Galantis. I’d say we’ve always got feel-good music but we never want to write typical lyrics for the dance floor or anything like that. The lyrics are something that we think is important and we spend a lot of time on.”
